    Description

    This “DIXIE” cap gun was made in 1895 with a 3 star rating for rarity. It is described in Sam Logan/Charles Best book “Cast Iron Toy Guns and Cap Shooters” on page 48 (D16.1.2). This cap gun is 5 1/2 inches in length. It is a single shot, single action, which means it has to be cocked every time to fire it. The name “DIXIE” is clearly embossed on the left side of the cap gun and PAT JUN 1790 USA is clearly embossed on the right side of the cap gun. This cap gun is steel grey with beautiful scroll work on both sides of the cap gun and is in excellent condition.
    This is a toy cap gun. Please refer to the pictures. It cannot be altered to shoot any type of projectile.
