RECENTLY ACQUIRED FROM A LOCAL ESTATE, THIS AUCTION FEATURES A VINTAGE CAST IRON SINGLE SHOT CAP GUN

CONDITION:
This Cast Iron “Buffalo Bill” Cast Iron Cap Gun is in very good condition. With the exception of a chip in the top, there are no cracks, breaks, or repairs to the cast iron. The Cap Gun exhibits an age appropriate, rich and warm surface patina although it retains only small remnants of what appears to be its original brown japanned surface. Overall this is a well preserved example of this early 20th century Cast Iron Toy Cap Gun and it displays nicely.
THERE IS TYPICAL CORROSION IN THE CHAMBER WHERE THE CAPS FIRE.   THE  SPRING IS TIGHT BUT HAMMER DOES NOT STAY COCKED
